Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! In this season of giving thanks, I want to express my enormous gratitude for all you do on behalf of Villanova. Each of our roles and contributions are different, but without our collective dedication, creativity and enthusiasm, we could not successfully deliver on our Augustinian Catholic mission.

Please know how grateful I am for your efforts, and it is in the spirit of gratitude that I am pleased to share the following updates:

  • The University will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 22, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • A floating holiday has been added to the 2024 Holiday Schedule. The floating holiday can be used for a religious or cultural observation or another special occasion during the year. Note: I have extended the 2024/2025 Holiday Schedule given the day on which Christmas falls in December 2024.
  • Summer Fridays: From Monday, May 13, through Friday, Aug. 9, Villanova University will have a four-day workweek, with Fridays off.

Please note: All essential staff will still need to report as directed by their supervisor. Additionally, if your area or department requires an on-campus presence on Summer Fridays, the individuals who work Friday should be given alternative time off.

Thank you again for your many contributions to Villanova. I hope that this holiday season is relaxing and restorative, allowing for time to enjoy the company of family and friends.
